Note that the question "does macmini m4 16/512 work 240hz with odyysey g9" has nothing to do with the implied question in the thread title "sharing iCloud Photos".

In the future, please choose thread titles that are related to what you are actually asking about.

As far as that Odyssey G9 display goes, if it has a refresh rate of 240 Hz, that may limit the total number of displays you can have to two (with the other one being limited to 60 Hz).

Note that "Odyssey G9" is the name of a line of Samsung monitors. It might help to tell us which one you have.

Offhand, I see two G9 monitors whose description mentions 240 Hz.

They have a resolution of 5120x1440 pixels – each is the equivalent of having two 2560x1440 displays sitting side by side. They appear to have DisplayPort 1.4 and HDMI 2.1 inputs, but no Thunderbolt ones.

The specifications and Support document for your M4 Mac mini don't say that it can drive a 5120x1440 display at 240 Hz. The Support document lists the possibilities for one display as being

  • Up to 8K (7680 x 4320) at 60Hz over Thunderbolt or HDMI
  • or up to 5K (5120 x 2880) at 120Hz over Thunderbolt or HDMI
  • or up to 4K (3840 x 2160) at 240Hz over Thunderbolt or HDMI

Could be that those 5120 horizontal pixels are limiting you to 120 Hz.

What rating and how long is the current video cable between the M4 Mac mini and the Samsung Odyssey G9....?

You can get 16K@60Hz, 8K@120Hz and 4K@240Hz, but only if you use an Ultra High Speed cable.

I would test a short 3.3ft/1m 16K, 8K 2.2 96Gbps Ultra High-Speed HDMI cable.

Your Odyssey G9 display is compatible with your Mac. If you are attempting to find out if you can share photos stored on iCloud then the answer is Yes! Simply open the Photos app on your Mac mini, locate the photo(s) you would like to share and right click. Then select Share and then select the method you want to share them meaning Text, e-mail, etc.... and then follow the on-screen prompts.

Please remember when you use a public forum like this one to ask a question, the more details you provide the easier it is for someone to answer your question. If your question is vague then it is very difficult to understand what you want to know as we cannot read your mind.
