Remote management of Apple HomeView for overseas Android users

I wish to purchase an Apple HomeView for my parents living outside the U.S. They do not use iPhones but use Android phones. I just want to purchase it for them so they can have in their living room a digital clock, calendar, and reminders that I hope to ping them via my iPhone from here in the U.S. Is this possible for me to do - update the AppleHome in an overseas location using an iPhone app from here in the U.S.?
