Magic Mouse right-click context menu immediately closes in Adobe InDesign after upgrading to macOS Golden Gate 27.0.1
After upgrading my MacBook Pro (M3 Max) to macOS Golden Gate 27.0.1 (26A434), the Magic Mouse right-click behavior in Adobe InDesign became unusable.
When I right-click inside InDesign, the context menu appears briefly but immediately disappears as soon as I the right mouse button. The only way to keep the context menu open is to continue holding the right mouse button, which makes it impossible to use normally.
The issue occurs only in Adobe InDesign.
Environment
- MacBook Pro (M3 Max)
- macOS Golden Gate 27.0.1 (26A434)
- Adobe InDesign 21.6 (also tested with 21.5)
- Apple Magic Mouse
What I tested:
- Right-click works normally in Finder, Photoshop, and other applications.
- Control + Click works correctly in InDesign.
- A standard mouse with physical buttons works correctly in InDesign.
- Disabled GPU Performance in InDesign → no change.
- Tested both InDesign 21.6 and 21.5 → same behavior.
- The issue started immediately after upgrading to macOS Golden Gate.
At this point, it appears to be a compatibility issue between macOS Golden Gate, Magic Mouse, and Adobe InDesign, rather than a hardware problem with the Magic Mouse.
Has anyone else experienced the same issue, or is Apple aware of this behavior?
