Apple Siri AI intelligence failing behind chat gpt and claude

Siri new AI intelligence is terrible. It can’t have a conversation unless you click the app vs the hey Siri prompt.

i asked for direction to resteraunts near me and it gave three and I asked what review where they were directions and it could not carry a conversation

when it gave me directions it was to the wrong address and completed the conversation so I have to start a new hey siri and could not find my last conversation

i went to Claude had a conversation it talked about three good areas to eat, gave me direction and off we went in less than a minutes

how can apple launch and not be any good - this is not what is expected from Apple that why we waited two years for it.

You continue a previous Siri conversation by opening the Siri app, if you say "Hey Siri" again, you have created a new conversation. That is the major difference between Siri and Siri AI where previously you had to initiate the Siri activation word every time, and now you don't. If you fall back to the old way of using Siri with the activation word every time, you are creating a new conversation.

For me when I ask Siri AI for restaurants near me, it gives me the list and I can follow up in that same conversation, just by saying, "Which ones have the best reviews", and then those will be sorted by the highest reviews. You don't need to initiate Siri again and it is listening for about 10 seconds for any followup command. You can even continue with that conversation for anything else, such as "Which ones serve Italian food" then even again by saying "Get directions to the first one". You can tell that it is still listening by the animation on the bottom of the results. It worked perfectly.
