You cannot trade both an iPhone 17 Pro Max and an iPhone 16 Pro Max on one iPhone order. Apple accepts no more than one trade-in device per order.

You also mentioned an Apple Guft Card. It’s not at all clear how that relates to the order. An acceptable way would be if you already sent your iPhone 17 Pro Max and/or iPhone 16 Pro Max to Apple’s trade-in partner, had it/them accepted and inspected, received and redeemed your Apple Gift Card for the trade, and that way that value would have been applied to your iPhone Duo purchase.

This is certainly atypical.

Did the addresses “align” ?

i.e. Shipping Address = Credit Card Billing Address ?

Another option for you if you are close to an Apple Store you might be able to get your hands on the Apple Duo by buying it in the store on the day of release. The stores are supposed to have a limited supply on hand, so you’d best get there early on release day to have a chance and bring your trade-in iPhones too.

The disappointment is understandable. Sorry we can't do anything to help you, but I hope you understand this is a user to user only forum, NOT Apple Support. We can sympathize, but we can't do anything other than that.
