I recently upgraded my phone from iOS17 to 27. IniOS 27 mail search does not return results more recent than 5 months old. In fact, the search often returns “no results” even when I know for certain that they are there. Why is this happening? It never happened in iOS17.
iPhone 15
I had the same issue on iPhone 15 Pro ios 27.0.1.
Easy Fix:
Make sure you have iCloud Mail back up turned on first. After that delete the Mail App completely. Then go to App Store and redownload the “Mail” App. Your mail will re-sync. After I did this my Email Search worked straight away :-)
OK, it solved the problem but only temporarily. I have to keep deleting and reinstalling Mail every time I want to make a search. I hope Apple is checking this, as I don’t know how else to tell them that there’s a problem.
Thank you! This solved the problem.
