How to recover irreplaceable photos and data after a screen replacement on iPhone?
Yesterday, October 18, I took my iPhone to Best Buy to have my screen replaced through an insurance claim. When I received my phone back, I discovered that it had been completely restored to factory settings, and all my photos, videos, messages, and other personal data were missing.
During the setup process, my iPhone asked me to restore from an iCloud backup, but the only backup available appeared to be from November 7, 2025, on my iPad. My iPhone had previously shown that my iCloud storage was full.
I have tried different ways to recover my photos, including checking iCloud and updating my phone to the beta software, but nothing has worked.
I’m especially devastated because I lost precious photos and memories of my father, who passed away last year. These photos are irreplaceable, and I was not expecting my personal data to be erased during a screen replacement.
I would really appreciate any assistance in determining whether my data can still be recovered.
