Drum Kit Designer alters sound

When i load up a empty drum kit designer and drag in sounds i like they sound different. i liked a clap sound,dragged it on a empty pad and played it, only to realize that it sounds completely off. very damp and just bad. its very frustrating and if already tried diffrent things,pls help. (on ipad pro btw)
