There are many differences between the platforms, just a few others here where you will find that they don't offer the same features:

  • The Mac has the Finder for viewing contents of folders on the computer file structure, where the iPhone/iPad has no access to its file structure.
  • The iPhone/iPad have many user adjustable Home Screens where each can be configured, and even with the same apps on multiple Home Screens, the Mac just has a single Desktop.
  • You can delete many apps installed by the OS on iPhone/iPad and on the Mac, you cannot delete any of of the OS installed apps.
  • The Mac is a multi-user platform, while the iPhone/iPad are just single user devices.
