iphone 18 pro physical SIM
Do you have a physical SIM card for the iPhone 18 pro ?
Do you have a physical SIM card for the iPhone 18 pro ?
It would be a really bad idea to buy an iPhone from another country just for the sake of getting a physical SIM slot. If the phone has any warranty issues, it would need to be shipped to the country of origin. Same as if you bought a phone here, moved to France and needed warranty work. You'd have to ship it back to the U.S.
And it isn't just that. Some countries have their own cellular systems and the phones sold there are meant to work only with that system. It may not even be able to connect to a cellular service here.
Other country specific models have restrictions based on their laws. Here are some, though it may not be all of them.
Country-Specific Feature and Hardware Exclusions
FaceTime Audio & Video
United Arab Emirates (UAE): FaceTime audio and video are completely blocked due to government telecom monopolies and monitoring policies.
China Mainland: FaceTime Audio and group FaceTime are unavailable due to state regulations and carrier rules.
Camera Shutter Sound
Japan and South Korea: The camera shutter sound is permanently enabled and cannot be muted to comply with local privacy and anti-voyeurism laws.
Apple Intelligence / Siri AI
European Union (EU) and China: Apple Intelligence and related AI features are restricted or delayed at launch due to regulatory hurdles, such as the EU's Digital Markets Act (DMA) interoperability demands or Chinese state AI approvals.
Physical SIM Card Slots
United States & Select Regions: iPhone 14 and newer models sold in the U.S. are eSIM-only with no physical SIM card tray, whereas most other countries still retain physical nano-SIM card slots alongside eSIM support.
U.S.-Exclusive Services
International Markets: Features like the Apple Card, Apple Cash, state IDs in the Apple Wallet, Advanced Data Protection (in certain contexts), and specific U.S. banking integrations remain unavailable or heavily limited outside the United States.
And as long as we’re discussing all the details here, buying a dual-SIM model usually means no eSIM support and no eSIM retrofit, but “In China mainland, only iPhone 18 Pro, iPhone 18 Pro Max, iPhone 17e, and iPhone Air support eSIM.”
So it is possible to get a dual-SIM with eSIM model for this iPhone 18 Pro case.
Though that China mainland model can have other restrictions, as mentioned else-thread.
And various hardware repairs may be unobtainable in the US, and the phone will need to be shipped elsewhere.

Not in the US. So you'd have to travel to another country and this list will tell you the countries which are eSim only for iPhone 18 Pro.
This means you'd need to travel to a country not in the list above.
It depends on what country or region the phone is sold in. For the U.S., eSIM is the only option.
