iMovie requires newer macOS than Sequoia 15.8.1 for installation

Hi everyone,

I'm trying to install iMovie on my 2018 MacBook running macOS Sequoia 15.8.1, but the App Store says that macOS 26.4 or later is required. I would like to install a version of iMovie that is compatible with macOS Sequoia, rather than upgrade my operating system if possible.

I tried to download iMovie on my iPhone using the same Apple Account. However, iMovie does not appear in the list of purchased apps on my MacBook, so I cannot download it from there either. I had never downloaded iMovie on this Apple Account before, so I don't have a previous Mac download available in my purchase history.

Is there a way to download an older version of iMovie that is compatible with macOS Sequoia 15.8.1? I'd appreciate any advice or suggestions. Thank you!
