When you send an iPhone in for repair, will they inspect it for other damage?

I'm sending my iPhone in and am not 100% sure there isn't any other part that's damaged and I'm wondering whether they look for this and repair it also? This is under the full AppleCare+ warranty.

Yes, it’s standard operating procedure to run full diagnostics on any device submitted for repair. A complete internal and external examination will be done on the device. A visual inspection is done for any contamination including liquids. I’m a former Apple Store manager and am familiar with the inspections and diagnostics performed.

It would usually be best if you informed Apple of the entirety of the issues with the iPhone.

As Apple may well send back a replacement, other issues with the iPhone may also be resolved that way.
