iTunes. No "convert to MP3" menu choice anymore

I buy music in iTunes on Windows. But some of my devices need to have it in MP3 format.

After downloading I have always used the "Convert til MP3" as I need it in MP3 format.

But in the latest versjon 12.10.11.2 there is only a "Conevrt to AAC" choice. No MP3 choice.

Do I have to reinstall an older version to be able to convert my tracks to MP3?

Windows, Windows 10

Easy fix for this one.

  • At the top taskbar, select "edit", then "preferences"
  • Near the bottom, to the right of "When you insert a CD", select "Import settings"
  • "Import using", change to "MP3 encoder" and select the bitrate setting of your choice

When you go to convert, it will now say "Convert to MP3", and will now convert files to MP3 at the bitrate you selected.
