It depends on the app.
Some apps come with uninstallers. Check in the Applications folder if the app has an uninstaller.
If not, just drag it to the bin or right-click it in Applications and hit "Move to Bin"
You open the Applications folder by clicking Applications in the Dock and hitting "open in 'finder"
If you're still not sure then come back and tell us the name of the app and we'll help more.
BTW - if you have subscribed to the app or paid for it you won't get refunded if you delete it.

It depends on which version of English your Mac is set to use. British is "bin." U.S. is "Trash."
Or you were being funny and I'm being pedantic.
It's "Trash" on my MacBook Pro set to English(US):
Must be a localization thing.
