Apple Watch Sleep Schedule alarm continues after iPhone snooze

I’m experiencing an issue with the alarm on my Apple Watch when using the Sleep Schedule alarm.

When the alarm goes off on both my iPhone and Apple Watch, and I tap Snooze on my iPhone, the alarm stops making sound on the iPhone, but it continues ringing on my Apple Watch.

If I tap Stop on the Apple Watch, it stops the alarm completely, including the snoozed alarm. However, if I tap Snooze on the Apple Watch, the snooze works as expected, and the alarm rings again after the snooze interval, just as it does on the iPhone.

The problem is that snoozing the alarm on my iPhone does not silence the alarm on my Apple Watch, so the two devices do not seem to stay in sync.

Hi there

Please try this

  • Enable Always Play on iPhone: Open the Health app on your iPhone, tap Sleep, go to your Sleep Schedule, tap Edit, and toggle on Always Play on iPhone (available in recent updates) so both devices ring and respond together.
  • Turn Off Push Alerts from iPhone: Open the Watch app on your iPhone, tap Clock, and turn off Push Alerts from iPhone to completely separate the watch and phone alarms.
  • Manage Snooze Direct on Watch: Always tap snooze or stop directly on your Apple Watch screen when wearing it, as watch haptics and audio run on a separate trigger loop during Sleep Focus.
