Sounds like a web app created from a web page with those characters. If you look on the keyboard those are consecutive characters that would need to be typed.

  • Does it open to a web page when clicked and if so which one?

If it does open to a web page, then just move it to the trash or change the name to one that is more recognizable for what you want to use for the web app.

You can also select the icon and choose Get Info in the Finder under the File menu. It will tell you the kind of the file and when it was created.

Then the name of that folder may have inadvertently been changed to those characters.

If you can provide a screenshot of what that folder looks like and the contents of the folder, we may be able to offer more information. Please don't include any screenshots that contain personal information. Using the Get Info after selecting it will still show when it was created.
