How do I stop spam calendar events on my Mac.

In the last few months I've been getting spam calendar events on my Mac's calendar. How I've handled it so far is to create a spam calendar and change the events to spam. they change colour and once a week or so I just delete the spam calendar and start another one. How do I stop these spam events from getting into my calendar. They appear as greyed out events and are very annoying and clutter up the calendar. All my iCloud calendars are correct so there isn't anything to delete there. I can't find anything anywhere on how to deal with this other than statements that apple needs to help stop this. Thanks in advance for any help.

The first step is to determine the source of the Spam. I suspect you are syncing a Google/Microsoft Account and that is where it originates and synced to your Calendar app on your Mac. Those are the 2 where this is most commonly seen.

The easiest way to find the source is to open the Calendar, then go to Settings and quit syncing one of the accounts. When you have found the correct account, the Calendar Spam will disappear from the app.

Once you find the source you can sign into the Calendar for the service you are syncing, for example a Google Calendar or Outlook Calendar using a Microsoft account, and they have Settings there to disable automatic event processing, which is the Spam being generated from a Spam email sent to that account.
