iPad keyboard messed up after iOS 27.0.1 update

Does anyone know what’s going on with the iPad Pro keyboard after iOS 27.0.1 update? Why is unusable now? It takes up at least 2/3 of the screen, the letters are all spread out like they are a phone keyboard, and the space bar is now the smallest button on the bottom row. It is essentially unusable and glitchy AF. I tried resetting it to a US QWERTY keyboard. I put my text size back at the default. I’ve restarted it a half a dozen times. I can’t seem to find any forum or help information showing that other people are having this problem, but I am heavily dependent on my iPad because I’m disabled and it’s my touchscreen device that I can use and right now this keyboard is making it unusable. I’ve attached two photos showing the old keyboard layout that my spouse still has on his iPad that hasn’t run the update yet, and the new keyboard on mine after the update. This is the kind of hot garbage that makes me never want to run the updates when they come out.
