How do I fix Calendar not sending email invites to specific addresses?

After I added my mailboxes from other providers calendar invites from my calendar were no longer being sent to those email addresses. These addresses were also added as recovery emails. I have done the setting of email notifications in iCalendar. Have removed the emails as recovery emails, have removed the boxes from calendar app. Still no email invites to only those two emails from my iCalendar. If I use the outlook app invites go out.

Hi there

Please try this

. Check Default Calendar Outbound Account (iOS / macOS)

  • On iPhone/iPad: Go to Settings > Calendar > Default Calendar. Ensure it is explicitly set to your primary iCloud calendar (not an alias, local calendar, or a remnant of the third-party provider).
  • On Mac: Open Calendar > Settings (or Preferences) > General, and verify the Default calendar is set to your primary account.

2. Verify Your Contact Card and Email Aliases

Apple's Calendar app cross-references your own contact card to determine sender identity:

  • Open the Contacts app on your Mac or iPhone and look up your own card.
  • Ensure that the specific external/recovery email addresses are not listed under your own contact card as an alternate email you own. If Apple thinks you are inviting yourself, it may suppress the outbound notification.
  • Verify the invitee's email address is correctly entered and not mapped to a legacy card profile.
