iPhone 18 Pro is not receiving iMessages

I recently got the new iPhone 18 Pro and I sporadically will not receive certain text messages. It seems to mostly happen with iMessages. Restarting my phone sometimes fixes the problem where old messages will appear, but sometimes it doesn't. I can see the messages on my macbook. I have ensured my number is selected for send & receive, I have tried toggling iMessage on and off, and also updated to latest iOS 27.0.1

First, try the following steps:

Disable any VPN connections and restart your iPhone or tell Siri: "Restart".
Learn how to update your iPhone to the latest version of iOS.
Learn what to do if your iPhone won’t update.

Sign in issue:

Learn what to do → If you can’t turn on or sign in to iMessage.

Connection issue:

Learn what to do → If you can't send or receive messages.

Try syncing with iCloud on your phone. Do this by going to account, iCloud, click messages and then sync now. Hopefully that works.
