Missing iTunes music albums in File Explorer on PC after iPhone 15 Pro Max sync

I recently attempted to Sync the music library on my PC, within iTunes, to my iPhone 15 Pro Max. After the lengthy process, a few albums were missing from my PC, at least the view with File Explorer in the folder Libraries > Music > iTunes > iTunesMedia > Music > artist. What gives?

When I import the missing albums from my personal CDs, using iTunes (on my PC), the album shows doubled up songs, so iTunes seems to have the songs even though I can't see them using FileExplorer. This doesn't make any sense. Can anyone help me understand what I may be doing wrongly?

In iTunes right click one of the songs in the missing albums and select Song Info from the menu. Then go to the File tab. It should show the path to the song's file there at the bottom.

It's likely the file was stored somewhere else than where you expect it to be, but iTunes does in fact know where it is and can play it from there.
