Are there any iPhone 13 or 15 Pro issues with the 27.0.1 Update?

Before installing the new 26.7.1 or 27.0.1 Update, I’d like to know if anybody with an iPhone 13has had issues.

I am planning to upgrade my phone as well probably to a 15 Pro, so if anyone has had issues with that phone with this Update I’d like to know about it, too.

Somebody ALWAYS has issues and they come here to vent. These forums are like an emergency room and many of the issues are caused by user-action or lack of knowledge. Complaints also come from users who don't like change, period, so they solemnly declare their updated device to be useless. If you use these forums to make update decisions you’ll never ever update anything ever. Oh and you’ll see users using Google hits and Reddit posts to “prove" their claims but seeing as there are now 2.5 billion Apple devices in use around the world even one hundred users with the same problem are a tiny, insignificant percentage of the user base.

So yes, someone WILL come along and tell you how horrible iOS 27.0.1 is on their iPhone 13 or 15 Pro. It will happen, it always happens. Tech journalists, however, are generally in agreement that iOS 27 is quite stable in its early release. My wife and I have had no significant problems on her iPhone 16 and my iPhone 16 Pro.

That's like asking a 13 year old and a 15 year old if they like what they had for dinner.

iOS 27 works perfectly fine on both devices, but that does not mean some users may not like it. The same is true for any iOS version.

Since those devices are a bit on the older side, I would make sure your Battery Health is not showing that Service is required. The 13 is only expected to last 500 charge cycles while the 15 is expected to last 1000 charge cycles. If you need a Battery Replacement where the Health is showing less than 80%, then the update will not help and may even make things worse on a battery that is already failing.

As Kurtosis12 has already pointed out, we see a number of problems with users who are purchasing what they think are "new" iPhone 15 Pros.

Even if you can really find a genuine new iPhone 15 Pro, it has been sitting in a warehouse somewhere for 2+ years. This would not be good at all for the battery.

Check to make sure that you are buying from an authorized Apple dealer. You can see a list of authorized dealers in your area using this link:

Watch out for other dealers who claim to be "Apple Specialists". They're not..... and more than likely you will wind up with a used or refurbished iPhone with no warranty if you buy from them.

Don't even consider buying an iPhone 15 Pro from an online site. Apple does not have any new iPhone 15 Pros for sale, by the way

Good luck
