How do I move the player controls for Apple Music back to the top?

My laptop is now up to MacOS 27.0.1 (not by choice) and decided to boot up Apple Music to listen to some tunes. Come to realize that the player controls are now a floating at the bottom of the Music window, which is absolutely annoying to deal with.

After decades of iTunes and Apple Music, this was a bad decision by Apple. It wasn't broken, it didn't need to be changed at all, and yet here we are. No one asked for this change, much like no one asked for unwanted Ai all over Apple products now. How certain decisions get made are beyond me, but this was a poor choice by the Apple Music team.

I know the community forums are not a direct line to Apple Support and providing feedback, but still, how do I move the player controls for Apple Music back to the top?

You may have not even realized it, but it was also in the same location on Mac OS 26 and has been on the bottom for over a year. There was no option to move it on the top last year and not one now either. That change was not introduced in Mac OS 27.

I wouldn't speak for others about what they have asked for as they can use the Feedback link for their opinions just like you. It takes very little effort here on these forums to see users requesting that Siri was more functional with the competitive AI models and how Siri is falling behind, and Apple has answered that call with Siri AI and the expanded capabilities of using AI while at the same time protecting users privacy and security using Private Cloud Compute along with on-device processing when possible.
