Move to iOS problems. Pls help

having alot of issues with the "transfer to iOS" app. Did my gf's newly bought iPhone Air last sunday. Did no less than 6 resets.

I am now doing my newly acquired iPhone 16 Pro Max. I know its 2026; but i wanted one with a titanium case.

I am now on my 7th reset.

For both iPhones. transfers cancels when the iPhone screen goes dark. In the end i finally succeeded with the Air because i was tapping it periodically none stop for 2 over hrs; hers' had only a 5gb whatsapp history transfer.

For my case i have a 50gb whatsapp chat history. Timer on the Move to Ios app tells me i need 14 hrs.

I cant possibly be watching my iphone and tapping the screen for 14 hrs can I. No sim card on both phones. Should i switch off Wifi as well?

It says it needs 14 hrs. I cant be expected to conect both phones by cable can I? I am assuming i don't have enough power to last 14 hrs on both phones?

For posterity's sake i am moving from a Redmi 13C 5G which is my backup phone, to a 512gb 16 Pro Max.

Please help. On my last leg or 2. If i dont get the Whatsapp history transferred. I am moving to a Find X10 Pro Max. As of now, Android to iOS is way too much trouble for too little gain.

This latest attempt; has been stuck on 3063 of 3079 messages, 51.56% for the last... 2hrs? The blue progress bar is moving very slowly, i think? Or it might not be moving at all.

this 16 Pro Max was updated to iOS 27 before i got my hands on it.
