iPhone Duo experiences intermittent touchscreen unresponsiveness and lag
Hi everyone,
I recently got my new iPhone Duo, and I’ve been experiencing a strange, intermittent touchscreen issue.
Sometimes the touchscreen suddenly stops responding properly, or scrolling becomes noticeably laggy, inconsistent, or completely unresponsive.
Here are some details:
- It happens on both the inner display (unfolded) and the outer display (folded).
- It can happen randomly in different apps, including Apple’s own apps.
- Sometimes certain buttons or areas of an app continue responding normally, while others completely ignore my touches.
- For example, in the Files app, I might still be able to interact with certain elements, but the Back button suddenly stops responding. This is just one example; it can happen with different buttons or gestures in any app.
- Scrolling sometimes feels delayed, stutters, or stops responding as expected.
- It almost feels like the interface is freezing, but it doesn’t appear to be a complete system freeze because other touch interactions still work.
- The issue is intermittent and doesn’t seem tied to a specific application or to whether the phone is folded or unfolded.
I’m wondering whether this could be an iOS 27 software issue, a touchscreen responsiveness bug, or something related to the iPhone Duo’s new display system.
I’d particularly like to know whether this is affecting other devices or whether my unit might have a hardware defect.
Hopefully Apple can investigate this if more users are experiencing the same behavior.
Thanks!
