Cannot restore app icon to Home Screen on iPhone 11 Pro

I cannot restore an icon even the app is still on my iPhone.

The instructions say that one just needs to swipe all the way to the left on the home screen and that there will be an option to look at deleted apps and restore the icon there.

Unfortunately, when I swipe all the way to the left all that comes up are some icons for a few apps. But no way to select or look at deleted apps.

I know the app is still there, because if I search for I can open it. But it is nowhere to be found on the home screen

I have an iPhone 11 Pro with 27.0.1 – which is the most recent update.

Swipe from Right to Left until you get to the App Library (it’s the last “page” of the Home screen). Search for the app, and when you find it, hold your finger on it until it shakes, and drag it to wherever you want it on the Home screen. This will NOT remove it from the App Library.

That did the trick.

It was my fault and misinterpreting the instructions I found searching on the Internet – I was swiping to GOleft, i.e. swiping from left to right, rather than the other way around.
