Magic Keyboard Esc key not working with iPad Air

Hi everyone,

I'm using an Apple Magic Keyboard with my iPad Air 13-inch M3

My physical Esc key registers on an online keyboard tester, but it doesn't work in any app on my iPad. Other keys work normally.

I've tried restarting my iPad and reconnecting the keyboard, but the issue persists.

Has anyone experienced this issue? Is there any setting or solution to make the Esc key work properly?
