Apple Account Password Changed Without My Permission - Unable to Recover My Account

Hello everyone,

This morning, I received an email from Apple notifying me that my Apple Account password had been reset. Shortly afterward, I received another email stating that my billing address had been changed. I did not make or authorize either of these changes, so I am concerned that someone may have gained unauthorized access to my account.

I have tried to recover my account several times, but I have been unsuccessful. I attempted to use the Apple Support app and Apple's password recovery process through Safari and three other browsers, on both my iPhone and my Mac. Unfortunately, none of these attempts resolved the issue.

I am located in Azerbaijan, and I could not find an Apple Support phone number for Azerbaijan, so I contacted Apple Support in Turkey. Unfortunately, they were unable to help me recover my account either.

Although I do not actively use this Apple Account, I am concerned that someone could access my personal information or other sensitive data associated with it. I would like to regain access to my account as soon as possible to secure it and prevent any potential misuse.

Could anyone please advise me on how I can recover my Apple Account in this situation? Has anyone experienced a similar issue or found a way to contact Apple Support when the standard account recovery process does not work?

Any advice or guidance would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you for your help.

The Account recovery process is the only other way to get control over your Apple Account again, described in the article below:

...

Where to start account recovery

  • Safari — Using a device with iOS 17 or later or macOS 27 or later, go to iforgot.apple.com using Safari and follow the instructions. When possible, the website redirects you to a trusted device to change your password.
  • The Support App — You can use the Support App on a borrowed device or a device at the Apple Store. Open the Support app, scroll to Support Tools, select Reset Password, and then select “Help Someone Else.” The information that you enter won’t be stored on the borrowed device.
