Apple Numbers Formula Problem

HELLO!

I have a problem with a formula. It worked perfectly fine until I added another "IF" to it.

I am wanting the formula to say if it includes TBA, then TBA, as well as if it says Not Provided, then Not Provided.

What have I done wrong?

Your problem is the formula is using + to try to combine the two elements.

Walking through it logically, you're saying:

a) If the count of "*TBA*" in $B3 is greater than 0 then return "TBA", otherwise return an empty string.

b) if B3 is "Not Provided" then return the string "Not Provided" otherwise return FALSE (I'm thinking you really want to return an empty string, but that's not what your formula says... maybe you need an additional ,"" on the second IF statement).

Both of these, in an of themselves are valid conditionals. However, you then try to ADD them together.

You can't add two text strings. Hence the error.

Instead, you need to use & to concatenate two string.

So just replace the + in your formula with & and you should be set
