Adding lifelike river effects in Apple Motion

Hello, what is the best way of adding life to the river (from the bottom of the image up to around the large wooden post with the bird on top) in the image (attached) I recently took in Oxford?

I have tried using Clouds and Bump Map (attached), but the result was not very life like.

I'm using;

MacBook Air M1 2020 8GB RAM - Tahoe 26.6.2

Apple Motion 6.3

Any help of suggestions would be much appreciated.

Simon's artistic abilities with Motion are... outstanding. Quite possibly the best out there. He's a little hard to follow sometimes, pause the videos a lot and work through what he's talking about. His examples are well worth the effort.

Update:

I thought it might be helpful to share a video of the Clouds & Bump Map effects I've created. It does look a like a water bed rather that a nice flowing river.
