Calendar item location entry changed with iOS 27.0.1

I used to be able to type an event location into "location" for a calendar item, and it would save as typed if I so chose. But since I've updated to iOS 27.0.1, it brings up a search box to type into, and I have to accept one of the locations in the search in order to save a location.

So... I hate that. I put football and basketball game times for my favorite teams into my calendar, and I want to put the TV network where the game will be shown into the "location" line. But since the update, if I try to type "ABC" into the line, it wants me to select one of several "Virginia ABC" liquor stores, and won't let me just save the three letters. I haven't tried other networks yet...
