Safari incorrectly shows website open

In Safari on Mac, Settings--Websites persistently lists a website as currently open, that in fact is not open. Clearing History and restarting Safari did not solve the problem. Safari version 27.0.1, macOS version 27.0.1. Any help appreciated.
