Problem with relatively new iPhone 17e and don’t know how to fix it

Recently got first iPhone, 17e. When I was on a Google business page and clicked to view its site, it opened up my Amazon app. Repeatedly. Google also freezes sometimes on my phone. When I described it on AI, it said an extension could’ve been added to my phone?? I’m not technical so don’t know what it means but it provided ways to remove it. I’m not sure I trust that info. I’m super careful about links I click on and dont even have many apps on my phone. Anyone else experience this, why is it happening, and how to fix? I thought apple products were immune to viruses (not sure if this “extension “, which if true is considered a virus). TIA, any help would be appreciated!
