No notices from Messages in macOS 27 at all! Why?

macOS 27 iMessages not giving notices. I have Notices in System Settings set for Messages to give me all the notifications it can. I reboot my MPB M1 Max and no changes. I get zero notifications that I've received a text message in macOS 27. Has anyone seen this? Is there a fix?
