"Clock" notification isn't going away mac

There is this notification from "Clock" that isn't going away. It is covering part of my screen and it is extremely annoying. How do I get rid of it?

MacBook Air 13″, macOS 15.8

“Clock, Check Calendar” appears to be associated with Clock or Calendar functionality in macOS, but it is not clear whether it is a Control Centre item, a suggestion, or a notification. The exact cause has not yet been established.

Try these steps in order:

Determine how it appears. Click the Control Centre icon in the top-right corner of the menu bar. Check whether “Clock, Check Calendar” appears inside the Control Centre panel, in a separate floating window, or as a notification banner on the desktop.

Click the item once. If it opens Clock or Calendar, note which application opens. Close the window and check whether the original item disappears. If nothing happens, note that as well.

Restart Control Centre. Open Applications → Utilities → Terminal, enter the following command, and press Return:

killall ControlCenter

Control Centre should relaunch automatically. This command does not delete your files or personal data.

Restart your Mac if the problem persists. Choose Apple menu () → Restart, then check whether the item returns.

If it continues to appear, investigate its source. Before disabling services, changing system settings, or deleting preference files, establish whether the item is generated by Control Centre, Clock, Calendar, or another macOS feature.

One important clarification is needed before proceeding further: Does “Clock, Check Calendar” appear only when you click the Control Centre icon, or does it pop out by itself even when you are not clicking anything?

This distinction will help determine whether the issue involves a persistent Control Centre panel, a recurring notification, or another macOS interface element.

The exact wording and appearance of the item will help narrow down the cause.

Perhaps look into the Notifications that pertain to your issue..

"To remove Clock check Calendar notifications on your MacBook Air,

go to System Settings app, click on Notifications, select Calendar, &

then turn Allow Notifications off.

This will stop all notifications from the Calendar app."

Manage notifications from Calendar on Mac - Apple Support

"In Calendar on your Mac, control the types of notifications you

can receive for new calendar events or turn them off altogether."

Use Notification Center on Mac - Apple Support

"In Notification Center on your Mac,can catch up on notifications you

missed and use widgets to view appointments, birthdays, the weather,

top headlines, and more right from the desktop."

{.also macOS has a 'built-in Help' within menubar.}
