Unable to sign out of locked Apple Account on iPhone
Hello everyone,
I’m experiencing an issue with my Apple Account, and I would appreciate any advice or assistance from someone who has encountered a similar situation.
My Apple Account has been locked, and whenever I try to access it through Apple’s website, I receive an access-denied message.
I also attempted to reset my password through Apple’s account recovery website (iforgot.apple.com), but I received the following notification:
“Account Locked – This account is locked and cannot be used.”
The problem is that the account is still signed in on my iPhone, and I cannot sign out of it.
When I go to Settings → [My Name] → Sign Out, the iPhone asks me to enter my Apple Account password. However, even when I enter the password, I receive this error:
“Verification Failed – An unknown error occurred.”
Therefore, I’m stuck in a situation where:
- My Apple Account is locked and cannot be accessed.
- I cannot sign in through Apple’s website.
- I cannot reset or recover the account through the usual procedure.
- I cannot sign out of the account directly from my iPhone because password verification keeps failing.
I’ve already tried changing my internet connection, restarting my iPhone, and checking the date and time settings, but the problem persists.
I’ve also tried contacting Apple Support through the Apple Support app and website, but unfortunately, I haven’t been able to reach a support representative.
My main objective is simply to remove the locked Apple Account from my iPhone so that I can sign in with a new Apple Account. I am not interested in recovering the data stored in iCloud.
I would like to know:
- Is there any official way to remove a locked Apple Account from an iPhone when the usual sign-out process fails?
- Is it possible to remove the account without being able to verify its password?
- If I erase my iPhone, will I encounter Activation Lock and be unable to activate the device again?
- Is there any way to resolve this issue directly with Apple, especially for users who cannot access Apple’s usual support channels?
- Has anyone experienced the same situation or found a legitimate solution?
I would really appreciate any guidance. Thank you in advance!
