Calendar event alerts are not heard
Alerts for Calendar Events are not heard. I set time with alerts to help me manage our medications.
iPhone 16 Plus, iOS 27
“Not heard’? I will therefore assume the alerts are delivered, and could be seen if you looked at the screen, but simply have no sound. Further, based on your profile, I will assume we’re referring to an iPhone.
Might your iPhone be silenced? Or might it have some temporary sound muffle in effect related to a Focus setting?
Have you checked your sound volume?
Have you checked Settings > Notifications > Calendar to verify that:
- Allow Notifications is “on”
- Time Sensitive Notifications is “on”
- Sounds is set to something reasonable (typically “Chord”)
- Customize Notifications has all settings “on”
