Do third-party Apple Originals remain on Apple TV+?

Do Apple Originals leave Apple TV like other streaming services?

I'm asking specifically about ones made by 3rd party studios. Are they on Apple TV for good or temporarily?

  • The Apple TV subscription service has quite a bit of content that Apple purchased with apparent permanent status, so as far as we know without end date. These would be considered Apple Originals. (Everything with the “tv” logo on the content tile within the Apple TV app.) No titles of these have been removed yet since the beginning in 2019.
  • The Apple TV subscription service has some (movie) content in select countries that is a temporary extra perk, and not part of their perpetual catalog. These would not be considered Apple Originals. (See the “Great Movies Now on Apple TV” category.)
  • The Store section within the Apple TV app is separate from the Apple TV subscription. While a purchase there is perpetual, in some instances the supplying studio can choose to remove content (e.g. due to (partial) catalog selling to another entity). These would not be Apple Originals, although a few Apple Original movies are also for sale separate of the subscription, on Apple’s platform and on third party movie selling platforms.

If your concern is for a specific (set of) titles, and if you’re still unsure, then please name them, so we can look up what applies.

hard to say

if the third party content providers remove apples license to distribute they will be gone

if it's apple produced then if apple choose not to distribute it any longer they will be gone

if you wish to look for apples officials channels confirming that reality then you can use
