How to continue a running total across more than one page in a Pages invoice template document

Assumption: You are satisfied with your running total formula on the first page's table.
When you choose to replicate a formula downwards in column cells, that replication ends at the page boundary. To continue the formula to the same column on the next page, you select the last formulaic column cell on the previous page and copy to the clipboard. Then in the first cell of that column on the next page, you choose Paste and Match Style.
That enters the formula result in the first cell of that column, and then you click, and drag the yellow grip downward to apply the formula to subsequent column cells as needed. Wish this was simpler, but it is not.
