How do I stop receiving hundreds of scam emails daily on my Apple device?

I receive hundreds of scam emails daily (e.g. your iCloud account is full, your Google photos are about to be deleted)--40-50 daily in inbox--510 today in junk folder--how can I stop this?

Alas, no one can stop spam. Not as the world is presently architected.

You can potentially filter it, whether on the server, or using mail app, or using an add-on app such as SpamSieve.

Swapping email addresses is not without direct and indirect issues, and the spam inevitably starts up anew.

Which email service are you using with your Mac? That will determine what filtering options are available.

As for ways to get even more spam, those are available: one of my acquaintances was (unwisely) using the “unsubscribe” links in the spam, and was getting into arguments with the spammers, and was also signing up their same email for everything. That in aggregate unsurprisingly got them way more spam. But it all seemingly made them happily-annoyed-busy-whatever.

Thank you, MrHoffman. I agree that changing email addresses presents problems, and may just invite a new batch of scams. I hope to avoid that, so looking for an effective way of filtering out the junk, as you suggest, is worth a try. I have three email accounts, two of which I rarely use. The problem account is through Hawaiiantelcom, so I need to see what filtering, if any, they can provide.
