Old, missing shortcuts appearing in Siri/Spotlight (OS27) — “The file doesn’t exist”
Old, missing shortcuts appearing in Siri/Spotlight — “The file doesn’t exist”
After setting up an Apple Watch earlier this year, all my shortcuts disappeared from the Shortcuts app. I ended up manually recreating them, which was inconvenient but manageable.
Since the latest iOS 27 update, however, Siri and Spotlight have started showing the old, missing shortcuts again. Selecting one successfully runs it, but tapping its ellipsis (…) opens the Shortcuts app with the error: “The file doesn’t exist.”
This leaves me with outdated or duplicate shortcuts appearing in search that I can run but can’t access to edit or delete.
I’ve already tried resetting the Apple Watch and iPhone, but this hasn’t resolved the issue.
Has anyone experienced this or found a fix? Is there a way to clear these orphaned shortcuts, rebuild Siri/Spotlight’s shortcut index, or reset the Shortcuts data in iCloud without losing my current shortcuts?
Any help would be appreciated!
