Credit limit increase tips

I have apple card since 2023. I mainly use it to purchase apple products and rarely use it for everyday purchases. I have $6500 credit limit and so far my available balance is $6000 due to my monthly installment balance.

Now, I am planning to upgrade my macbook to the new version and mac studio, but I will be needing more limit.

I tried to apply for credit limit twice overtime and both of them got denied. Now, with upcoming purchase, do you think I will have better chance to get an increase after I purchase one and then asked? I tried to ask for an increase before manually and the agent I am talking too didn't even listen to what I am trying to purchase and I think he just manually did an credit increase request for me.

What's my best course of action for me to get credit increase successfully? Last time I asked is back in 2025.

Thank you.

There really aren’t any tricks. Goldman Sachs likes no recent new accounts in the last 12 months and paying the account in full every month. Of course your finance arrangement is an exception. They like to see use on the account and that’s the area you say you are missing. You can’t really demonstrate a need for a higher credit limit because you’re not utilizing a high percentage of your current limit.

It won’t hurt to ask, but I wouldn’t expect much. Maybe if your reported income had changed substantially, that might help a little.
