How do I recover a missing Google Archive folder in Gmail?

Question

How do I recover a missing Google Archive folder in Gmail?

Disappearing Google Archive

I have several email addresses and an archive folder for each.

I decided to move the Google Archive near to the top of the Google Mail section. Instead the folder has disappeared.

I don't know how to find it or get it back. It's very important to me as it has all my emails going back several years and it is the easiest way to find content.

Any help very much appreciated.

log in to https://mail.google.com and you should be able to verify that it still exists in the side bar. If you moved it you may have accidentally moved it into another folder rather than the top level folder list.

Thank you very much. I did what I should have done before anything else. I turned off my computer, re-started, checked my mail and there it was! Thank you again for your advice.
