If you can't find your older posts....
Although old threads remain here in perpetuity, the forum's internal search engine
only "sees" back a few months. To find older ones, you can use a search engine and a site-delimited search request.
This request, pasted into your favorite browser's search window, should return all your Apple Forums activity for viewing, like seeing answers to your posts you may have missed before your thread was locked:
site:discussions.apple.com "slopdx"
You can narrow the search by subject. year, etc, by adding another term, For example, to limit the search to only those made it 2024, the request would be:
site:discussions.apple.com "slopdx" "2024"
Using that method, I can find Apple forum posts in which I participated going back 20 years or more. However, that does NOT unlock a thread for adding to or editing.
A couple of tips:
— not all browsers require the quotes. They are usually required for a username like mine with a space, or if they contain special characters.
— If you retype the request, note that there is NO space between the colon after "site" and the "d" in "discussions."
Threads don't really get archived. You can still see them. They do get locked after a period of inactivity. That prevents you from posting in them, but not reading them. If you have a similar question to one that is locked, start your own thread and put a link to the previous thread for context.
The only posts I know of that are no longer visible are ones that the Hosts have removed for violations of the Terms of Use.
