I just got an ipod touch gen 4 and its not letting me login to my icloud account. It keeps saying something about servers and stuff. I really just wanna download games and music. please help

The 4th gen iPod touch tops out at iOS 6, which is too old for Apple's current sign-in servers. That's what the server message is about, and there's no setting that fixes it on the device.
The App Store on it may still let you sign in to download older compatible apps, but iCloud sign-in usually won't work. For music and games, a newer iPod touch or an iPhone is the realistic fix.
