Still no select all button for unread emails?

Why is it that after all this time Apple has doughnut added a select all button when you have the unread message filter turned on? When you’re in your general mailbox, you can select all and delete them, but not your unread filtered box. This is ridiculous that they can add all of these new features, but not a simple toggle button. Instead, these people keep responding with these complicated workarounds to delete the unread messages. Obviously, if I’m not reading them, I don’t want them. I’ve opened all the messages that I want to keep so my only option is to select all and then spend hours going through unselect the ones I want and taking the chance of missing some or filtering it so I only see the unread and having to delete the one by one or bulk selecting the amount that will fit on one screen at a time which would take hours when I have thousands of emails. One simple option that thousands of people have asked for and they are still unable to accommodate.

Your only option here is to send your feedback to Apple directly. You mention that thousands of people have asked for this feature but this is the first time I'm seeing it in the forums.

Here's a suggestion ... rather than spending all that time deleting emails you do not want, try marking them as Junk. Once marked, mail from that address will automatically go to the Junk folder where you can Select All. Since you receive "thousands" of emails, this would at least stop multiple future emails from the same senders.
