iPhone 14 external microphone not working via Lightning port

My external microphone does not work on my iPhone whereas it used to. iPhone 14 iOS 27.2

the external microphone uses the lighting port to connect to the actual microphone.

it works on my iPad mini 2 iOS 12.5.8 seamlessly using the lightning port.

it is a Leetus brand wireless lavaliere microphone.

kindly advise.

iPhone 12 mini, iOS 17

A lavalier mic that uses a Lightning plug may need power, and newer iOS can be stricter about accessories. Try: 1) Unplug it, clean the Lightning port gently with a dry toothbrush, and plug it in again. 2) Settings > Privacy & Security > Microphone - make sure the app you record with (Camera, Voice Memos, etc.) is allowed. 3) Open Voice Memos and see if the mic is picked up there. 4) Check the mic's battery/receiver is charged and paired. If the iPad works but the iPhone doesn't, the accessory may not be MFi-compatible with iOS 27, so contact Leetus about a newer firmware or adapter.

One, I cleaned the port. It works fine with a charging cord. Moreover the microphone connects to the receiver as evidenced by the solid green ligh

Two asking to see if default apps delivered by Apple the iOS have access to the microphone is interesting. Yes the camera and voice memos have access.

Three, the microphone is fully charged. Per specs there is no battery in the receiver.

finally before ios27 it worked on my iPhone. Very well. So yes if it works on the iPad it is “MFi” compatible. I also tested the microphone with CapCut and it did not work. And yes in security and privacy it has access.

I thought I’d raise this issue in case anyone else is having this.

Thank you.
