Portfolio/site builder in Apple Creative Studio

Adobe Portfolio and Google Sites doesn’t work very well on iPad. Haven’t tried SquareSpace, but seems like there are many features that doesn’t work in iPad. This is a 13” tablet with M-processor and should be more than capable, but not even with mouse and keyboard it will work.

In Apple Creative Studio, is it likely that Apple will make their own service to compete with these services? Or are there solutions to make these services es to be made usable on a tablet?

Hi,

Adobe Portfolio and Google Sites do not officially support editing on iPads or tablets.

Why It Fails on iPad

  • Unsupported Platforms: Adobe Portfolio explicitly states that mobile and tablet devices are not supported for editing, requiring desktop browsers like Chrome, Firefox, or Safari on macOS/PC.
  • Interface Limitations: Touch inputs, mouse/keyboard setups, and mobile Safari/Firefox struggle with the complex drag-and-drop scripts and UI elements required by these site builders.
  • Missing Features: Important action buttons (like adding pages or clicking specific tool icons) fail to trigger on iPadOS.

Solutions and Workarounds

  • Use a Desktop Computer: Switch to a Mac or PC with a standard mouse and keyboard for any layout changes or site building.
  • Request Desktop Website: In Safari on your iPad, tap the "aA" icon in the address bar and select Request Desktop Website, though functionality is still heavily restricted and often non-functional.
  • Alternative Apps: Use native tablet-friendly apps or platforms if you must work purely on an iPad, though full site-building capabilities remain best on desktop
