Trackpad making crackling sound

I bought a MacBook Pro (14 inch, M5, 24 GB) back in August and it’s started to make a crackly/static sound when I use the trackpad. It’s now at the point where it does it when I’m not touching the laptop just not as loud

You have a one year limited warranty on your MBP. Take it to an Apple Store or authorized Apple service provider for examination and diagnosis. If it’s a hardware problem there’s nothing we fellow users here can help you with. Sorry.

Does this happen on battery as well as on power supply?

If on power supply only did you try a different location in the house / a different location altogether to compare your results?

Do you use the grounded 3-prong extension?

Use a Surge Protector:

Was there ever a thunderstorm or power loss of sorts while this was plugged directly into the wall? If so, a power spur or power surge may have occurred, resulting in this fuzzy-electrical sound. This is why to leave it plugged into surge protector, and then directly into the wall from there.
