MacBook Pro won't turn on and charging light is off

hi all

my Mac book pro 2022 model has died.

I’ve been away and haven’t used it in 4 weeks . All was working perfectly before I left but now it won’t fire up and the charging light is off.

i think it got too cold in the empty house . Obviously the battery is flat but the cable doesn’t appear to be damaged.

I’ve followed the standard advice . Warmed it to room temperature and reset the SMC but still no luck !

please help . Thank you

MacBook Pro 14″, macOS 26.6

John Galt has provided great advice above.

Your battery is likely depleted. The only way to add power to a Mac with a depleted battery is through trickle charging, which is very slow.

The voltages inside your Mac must be coaxed back to the minimum level for a processor to run. That may take more than a few hours connected to the Power Adapter.
